Moped Mastery - Motor Scooter Skills Course
If you are new to riding a moped or "low cc" motorcycle, mostly ride in an urban environment, and want to boost your skills and be safer on your commute, then this half-day course is for you.
About the Moped Mastery course
Moped Mastery is a practical half-day course for anyone who holds an appropriate moped or motorcycle license and has their own moped or low cc motorcycle. This FREE programme will develop your skills and confidence to deal with urban riding situations in a safe and controlled environment.

What happens on the day
Moped Mastery attendees will meet Mark and Jo from Revs Motorcycle Training. The day will include:
- Moped rules and requirements: gear, safety check and WOF
- Braking awareness
- Handling skills
- Crash avoidance
- Q and A session
What you'll need to bring
- Long trousers
- Long sleeved jacket that is front fastening
- Gloves (we can supply a pair)
- Sturdy footwear
- Wet weather gear if necessary
- Helmet.
Criteria
To register for the Moped Mastery programme, you will need to:
- Hold a Learner, Restricted or Full Licence
- Provide your own moped or low cc motorcycle with current WOF (if applicable) and registration
- If the course participant is under 18, they must be accompanied by a parent/adult/caregiver who has held a full NZ drivers' licence for at least 2 years. This person does not need to own/ride a moped or motorcycle.
