New vendors required!
The Rotorua Night Market is on the lookout for local makers, artists, creatives, ngā toi Māori, food vendors, entertainers and small businesses to join our Night Market community for the summer months (October 2026 – April 2027).
We’d love to hear from people who have something unique, creative and exciting to share, whether that’s handmade products, delicious food, artwork, cultural creations, entertainment, activities or live performances.
Vendor Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on the following:
1. Local & Handmade
- Genuinely local, handmade or locally crafted products are preferred.
- Products should fit the market’s craft, artisan and local focus.
- Mass-produced or resold goods will not be suitable.
2. Quality & Presentation
- Quality of craftsmanship, finish and overall presentation.
- Product photos and/or samples should clearly demonstrate the quality of your work and should be submitted in the EOI.
- Stallholders might be asked to present the product in person for approval.
- Stalls should be presented in a professional, attractive and welcoming way.
3. Variety & Market Mix
- We aim to provide a diverse range of products and experiences.
- Preference may be given to vendors with a unique product rather than duplicates of existing stalls.
- For example, if we already have several jewellery vendors, we may limit additional jewellery applications to maintain variety.
4. Compliance & Stall Setup
- Vendors must have valid Public Liability Insurance, licences, permits and food/product safety compliance relevant to their business.
- A copy of the required documentation listed above must be provided in order for your application to be considered for review.
- Vendors must have a safe, practical and suitable stall setup.
- All stallholders must comply with the market’s health and safety requirements.
5. Uniqueness & Point of Difference
- We are looking for vendors with a unique style, story, product or point of difference that adds interest and variety to the market.
- Tell us what makes your business special and why you would be a great addition to our market.
- We are seeking nga toi Māori (Cultural and creative retail vendors) showcasing Māori arts and culture as well as other arts, crafts and creative products.
6. Reliability & Commitment
- A commitment to attending the market regularly and consistently is expected from all vendors.
- For new vendors, we look for a clear indication that you can commit to regular/weekly attendance.
- Reliable vendors help us create a consistent experience for our community and visitors.

Kuirau Park Market
When: Every Saturday, 7am – 1pm (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and ANZAC Day)
Where: Kuirau Park
Offering a wide variety of food, coffee, cake, honey, fruit, plants, vegetables and crafts, this community fundraiser has been hosted by the Rotary Club of Rotorua North since 1988.
