Ōkere Falls Transfer Station 15 Ōkere Road, Ōkere Falls (off State Highway 33)	Thursday: 8:30am - 12pm Sunday: 8:30am - 12pm Christmas Day and Good Friday: Closed 24 hours access for red bag (only) rubbish and recycling
Tarawera Transfer Station Tarawera Road (between Green Lake and the Buried Village)	Thursday: 1pm - 4:30pm Sunday: 1pm - 4:30pm Christmas Day and Good Friday: Closed 24 hours access for red bag (only) rubbish and recycling

The following can be disposed of at these facilities during staffed hours - do not dump material outside of the gates when facilities are closed:

Household recycling (24 hour drop off at Tarawera and Ōkere Falls transfer stations)
Household rubbish (red bag 24 hour drop off at Tarawera and Ōkere Falls transfer stations)
Small scale commercial rubbish
Clean scrap metal
Green waste.

These items cannot be disposed of at the rural transfer stations.

Please take these items directly to the Rotorua South Resource Recovery Park instead.

Pricing for material drop off to the rural transfer stations, is below. All prices include GST.
