Subject: LGOIMA request - developments along Tarawera Road

I refer to your LGOIMA request of 30 August 2023 for ‘any information, correspondence, applications, pre-applications or proposals for any proposed housing or other developments, including papakainga developments, along the route of the Tarawera Reticulation Scheme from past the end of Spencer Road to the Okareka Loop Road turnoff immediately north of the new Bike Hub #2’and your email of 20 September refining the request to ‘any information Council may hold regarding any proposed papakainga housing, or other housing developments, along Tarawera Road, between the Okareka Loop Road and Te Mu Road, and along Spencer Road from Waitangi Road to the end of Spencer Road in the last 10 years’.

Please find attached a resource consent application for land use consent ‘to establish a Marae, Papakainga Housing and Cultural Centre over four stages’ in Tarawera Road. Note: Contact details of third parties have been redacted as per s7(2)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.

This is the only papakainga or housing development in the last 10 years along the roads requested.
