The Rotorua Daily Post is working on a story featuring local leaders, and I was hoping to receive a short statement from Rotorua Mayor Tania Tapsell.

The statement would be no longer than 80 words and outline her hopes, aspirations and priorities for Rotorua heading into 2026. Please note that if it exceeds 80 words, it will be cut down at our own discretion for length.

From Rotorua Mayor, Tania Tapsell –

“As Mayor, and Mum to a now two-year-old, it comes naturally to want a better Rotorua for all. I’ll honour the past by re-opening our Museum, and protect our lakes and forests so that we can enjoy them now and in the future. I have aspirations that all locals can feel proud, safe, and confident in Rotorua’s potential. If three million visitors a year can appreciate the beauty of Rotorua, then I believe we all should as well.”
