I've interviewed Damon Haggerman this morning about where things are at with the Lakeland Queen's relaunch.
He's advised that they still require a resource consent and a liquor licence, with the hearing set down for November 3.
Please advise if that's the case, and if possible what the timeframe would be if all went well with the liquor licence hearing. Does that get granted on the day or is it likely to be a reserved decision?

The consent application is progressing.
Regarding the liquor licence:
- One objection was received, hence a hearing is being held (3 November)
- The DLC usually reserves its decision on the day and issues a written decision as soon as possible afterwards. There is no specific legislative timeframe by which the DLC must issue its decision.
- DLC decisions can be appealed.
