[Regarding] the Elected Members roles being advertised on Seek.

Think it could be a good yarn about attracting new people etc. Also, another way of getting those dates out there again so people know what they need to do to stand.

Would you be able to get a couple of responses to me by this arvo? Namely answering the following questions:

• Is posting the elected positions on a job board something RLC has done before?
• What is the ultimate aim of the job ad other than the obvious call for interest (why on Seek? How does this attract potentially new and unexplored audiences?)?
• Is there concern around low expressions of interest at present?
• How much did the job ad cost (appreciate this might not be able to be answered but I have to ask)?

We’re always looking for new ways to encourage more people to vote and stand in local body elections and the Seek advertisement is something additional we’ve tried for the first time. We’re not the first council to do this.

Generally speaking, there is a rush on nominations in the final days and we expect that will be the case again this year.
