These are follow-up questions to yesterday’s media enquiry.
Just one final clarification.
Around this ... We have received 12 complaints from the public in the last six months and 13 complaints last year.
Our staff work tirelessly to keep our parks and reserves beautiful for everyone to use and this type of damage can take up to a month to repair and has cost ratepayers about $4,000 this year.
Is that just for Susan St? Or the whole fields and reserves network? And do you have a number for the amount of Council fields and reserves in total?

The following information was provided:
The 12-month period refered to the 2024/2025 financial year, while the six-month period covers January to July this year. So, a direct comparison between the two wouldn’t be accurate.
The $4,000 figure is an estimate of damage costs across all parks and reserves for the past six months.
If the reporter wanted a detailed breakdown, it would involve significant research and would need to be processed under the LGOIMA to allow staff time to complete it.
The total number of parks and reserves we look after is 330.
