Topic: Abatement notice
Enquiry
Can I please double check investigation [re Pūwhakamua abatement notice] is still ongoing?
Subsequent from reporter:
Just received comment for response as well from the Tikanga Aroro Charitable Trust, if desired:
"The abatement notice was cancelled almost immediately after it was issued. It was a non-event based on incorrect information.
That's said we've taken the opportunity to review our land use in accordance with tikanga, and will continue in humility and thankfulness.
The public notification is councils decision. We are progressing with the full support of our network and observing improved accuracy of information resulting in greater public support."
Response
We provided the following:
This matter is still under active investigation. It would not be appropriate to comment at this time.

Topic: Water taste test
Enquiry
We are doing a segment on the IXOM National Water Taste Test next week, and as part of that we wanted to arrange some water samples around the country for our hosts to try.
It'll be a very light-hearted, fun chat.
I'm unsure if your council is participating again this year, but if you wanted your water to feature in this TV slot, would it be possible to have a sample sent up to us?
Response
We confirmed that RLC would send a sample for the show’s taste test next week and confirmed that RLC would be entering the 2025 IXOM awards which Rotorua won last year.
