Subject: Official Information Request - Public Toilet Complaints
I refer to your Official Information request of 1 July 2026 for information regarding Public Toilet Complaints.
Questions:
- How many complaints your council has received about biological men in women's bathrooms or changing rooms and biological women in men's changing rooms or toilets?
- The number of complaints about people in gender-neutral toilets or changing rooms?
- For each complaint can I get the date, the complaint itself (with identifying details removed) and the location? Can I also get a description of what action the council took, if any?
Answer:
Council has not received any complaints, therefore Council refuses your requests under section 17(e) of the LGOIMA ‘that the document alleged to contain the information does not exist.’
Please note – That this response includes the Library and the Aquatic Centre as they are classified as Public Toilets/Changing Rooms managed by Council.
