I refer to your Official Information request of 17 April 2026 for information regarding TechnologyOne and Onecouncil.

Question:

When did the council first become aware of the need to move from the on-premises to cloud-based solution?

Answer:

Council became aware of TechnologyOne's intention to discontinue support for On-Premise deployments in August 2021 as part of a user group announcement.

Question:

When did TechnologyOne grant Rotorua Lakes Council a limited extension, with the final support end date for Council’s on-premises environment being confirmed as 1 October 2026?

Answer:

On the 27 October 2021, TechnologyOne granted Council with an extension to their On-Premise software support.

Question:

Was development work done on the on-premises solution able to be carried over to the cloud solution, or was rework required?

Answer:

From the start of development and configuration of the solution, Council followed a ‘keep current and cloud ready’ mantra. This allowed Council to uplift the solution into TechnologyOne’s T1 Cloud platform without rework.
