Subject: Official Information request - communications with Minister Potaka and Rotorua Lakes Council elected officials

I refer to your Official Information request of 10 March 2025 to Minister Potaka’s office, transferred to Rotorua Lakes Council on 19 March 2025.

Your request was for ‘Any and all communications, including but not limited to texts, emails, memos, letters, meeting minutes, reports, and other forms of correspondence, as well as messages exchanged via communication applications such as WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Slack, between you, your office and any elected officials in Rotorua concerning anything relevant to your social housing portfolio since 1 June 2024.’

Communication between Hon Tama Potaka and Hon Chris Bishop was undertaken through Mayor Tapsell’s office via email/letter. There has been no communication by Mayor Tapsell or elected officials via texts or any other communication applications.

Please find attached copies of emails/letters to/from Mayor Tapsell’s office and the offices of Hon Tama Potaka and Hon Chris Bishop.
