Subject: LGOIMA request - drag queen related events

I refer to your LGOIMA request of 8 April 2024 regarding drag queen related events, and provide the following responses to your requests.

All dates and functions hosted by the local Council owned buildings (including Libraries) to:

1. Rainbow Storytime
   Rainbow Storytime event was to be held on 21 March. The event was cancelled on 20 March.
2. Any other drag queen related events including Hugo Grrrl, Queen Olivia III or any other known drag queens or LGBTQI+ entertainers.
   Nil
3. Any Rainbow / LGBTQI+ events promoted for anyone under the age of 20.
   Priscilla, Queen of the Desert stage show held on 31 August to 9 September 2023, produced by local performing arts trust.
4. Covering 1, 2, 3: What costs or sponsorship were paid by the local Council to them for events since January 2015.
   Rainbow Storytime - $600 fee paid as event was cancelled within 24 hours of delivery. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert – local Rotorua performing arts trust working with amateur artists who received the community rate access for the theatre which equated to a 25% discount on the commercial rate per day of hire and 40% discount on technical equipment ‘if available’ i.e. not required by any other ventures in situ at the time of the production.
