Subject: LGOIMA request - Tarawera Reticulation Scheme sewer main

I refer to your LGOIMA request of 6 October 2023 requesting a summary of cost for the additional length of sewer main from the Okareka Loop Road/Tarawera Road Blue Lake intersection to Okareka Loop Road/Tarawera Road intersection immediately north of Bike Hub #2.

The section of the main sewer line referred to is partially completed. Approximately 1350 meters of the 2770 metre planned length has been installed along with associated valves and miscellaneous fittings, and the remaining pipe is programmed later in the project.

An estimate of the total value of this portion of the project has been derived from the schedule of rates in the current contract, and this estimated value is $1,421,000 exclusive of GST.
