I refer to your Official Information request of 12 June 2023 to Bay of Plenty Regional Council, transferred to Rotorua Lakes Council on 13 June 2023, requesting:
Please identify each building that is currently identified as the building intended/likely to be used as the Emergency Co-ordination Centre (ECC) or Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) after a seismic event. Please provide the building’s current %NBS at IL4, the date of the last assessment, and the type of seismic assessment completed. If this information is not held, provide the last seismic assessment for the buildings identified.
The Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC) has two buildings identified/likely to be used as an EOC after a seismic event. The requested information regarding these buildings follows:
Rotorua Lakes Council Civic Centre, 1061 Haupapa Street
- Current %NBS – Rating varies from 62% to 83% dependent on the area of the building and is based on IL3 conditions rating
- Date of last assessment – 29 July 2013 (Sigma Consultants)
- Type of seismic assessment – Seismic Structural Assessment Report
Rotorua International Stadium, Devon Street
- Current %NBS – Rating varies from 68% to 100% dependent on the area of the building and is based on IL3 conditions rating
- Date of last assessment – 24 June 2015 (Sigma Consultants)
- Type of seismic assessment – Seismic Structural Assessment Report
