I refer to your LGOIMA request of 20 October 2022 regarding the removal of non-compliant election signs, and respond below as per your request:

1. How many complaints were received about Don Paterson’s illegally placed signs?
   6 complaints received specifically about Don Paterson signs
2. How many signs did Rotorua Lakes Council remove?
   17 signs for various candidates were removed
3. Approximately, what costs did Rotorua Lakes Council incur for the time and resources required to remove these signs?
   The approximate cost to remove the signs was $182 (100km @ 83c/km = $83, plus 3 hours to remove @ $33 per hour [average hourly rate] = $99)
4. When was the first complaint received and when was notice given for the signs to be removed?
   First complaint received 6 October
   Notice to remove the sign given on 6 October
