Community and District Development Committee meeting preview
A total of 380 dwellings were constructed in the Rotorua District in the year ending June 2023, up from 255 the previous year, a report for next week’s Community and District Development Committee shows.
Of those, 58 in the year ending June 2023 and 18 the previous year were dwellings consented by the consenting authority Consentium, which is an independent organisation within Kāinga Ora providing building compliance service for state homes.
The dwelling figures are featured in the Community and District Development group’s report which also includes updates relating to other housing-related services and planning, regulatory services, community safety, thriving communities and Rotorua Library services and programmes.
Updates on council events and venues, which come under the Corporate Services group, are also on the agenda for next Wednesday’s Committee meeting.
