Works underway on next Green Corridor stage
Work is now underway on the next stage of the inner city's new Green Corridor - a designated pathway for cyclists, scooter riders, joggers and walking groups. Council contractors are currently preparing the stretch of Haupapa Street between Tutanekai and Amohia street for installation of the corridor along the southern side of the road.
When finished the Green Corridor will continue down Haupapa Street to Ranolf Street where it will join up with the already completed section of the corridor running through Kuirau Park. This section of the Green Corridor connects with the cycleway to Ngongotaha from Old Taupo Road.
The last inner city section of the Green Corridor to be installed will be along Tutanekai Street, between City Focus and Haupapa Street.
