Cityride bus passengers in Rotorua are being reminded to pick up new timetables or check the Baybus website before they travel as improvements to the network start today (Monday 20 July).
From today buses will travel on an inner city loop, with new stops in Arawa, Amohia and Fenton streets, and at Rotorua Central mall. Buses will no longer use the bus stop in Pukuatua Street which will be reconfigured to provide additional car parking spaces.
A series of bright new bus shelters at the four new inner city stops have been installed by Rotorua Lakes Council to coincide with the start of the new service. The shelters feature a series of colourful uniquely Rotorua themes.
New bus timetables include other network changes, and an updated fare structure which comes into effect from Monday 3.
To find out more about the changes, ask a bus driver for a new bus timetable, visit www.baybus.co.nz or call 0800 4 BAY BUS (0800 422 928).
Cityride bus services in Rotorua are provided by Bay of Plenty Regional Council.
