City revitalisation Strategy feedback extended
19 January 2015
Rotorua residents still have time to give feedback on Rotorua Lakes Council's Inner City Revitalisation Strategy discussion document.
The closing date for public comments has now been extended until the end of January.
Revitalising the inner city area is one of the key priorities of the council's and the community's Rotorua 2030 shared vision.
The goal is to develop a vibrant heart for Rotorua, with the strategy identifying five main focus areas - improved infrastructure, a strengthened central spine,' a creative environment, increased business attraction and investment, and strong partnerships.
Included in the Inner City Revitalisation Strategy is a list of projects undertaken to date and a proposed action plan for the future.
The council is keen to get feedback on the strategy, and particularly on the action plan, before the mayor and councillors finalise the strategy.
