Museum open early to commemorate Anzac Day
25 April 2014
Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first military campaign that led to major casualties for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps in World War I.
Following today's dawn parade, Rotorua Museum will be open early from 7am until 5pm. Visitors can come to reflect and to commemorate all the men and women who have served their country, showing courage and loyalty.
Take time to remember those whose lives have been lost by writing a message on a poppy. These poppies can be added to the Anzac Day remembrance displays in various locations around the museum.
Don't miss the moving 28 Maori Battalion film which runs every 30 minutes.
The Museum Caf will be open from 9am for hot drinks, Anzac biscuits and all-day breakfast.
