Children's Day at The Redwoods is on this Sunday [2 March] from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
The free event offers a wide range of activities and performances including a Taiko drumming group, a visiting story teller and the Travelling Tuataras.
RDC Tokorangi Forest manager, Julianne Wilkinson, said there will be an exciting line-up of creative fun Under the Sails,' with the opportunity for children to further discover the wonders of the Redwood Forest.
This annual event is a celebration of children, family, and recreation. It promises to be a great afternoon with free activities for kids of all ages to enjoy, including art, stories, music, dance, hut building, scavenger hunts, nature craft, drumming, magic, and so much more.
Families are encouraged to take along picnic afternoon teas.
