Steve Chadwick new mayor, Dave Donaldson to be deputy

Voters elected former MP Steve Chadwick as mayor of Rotorua on Saturday.
Ms Chadwick has announced that third term councillor Dave Donaldson is to take up the role of deputy mayor.
With 11,534 votes Ms Chadwick unseated three-term mayor Kevin Winters on 4,750 votes.
Meanwhile, there are three new councillors among the twelve elected to Rotorua District Council, including Rotorua's youngest ever elected member, Tania Tapsell:

The three new councillors are Tania Tapsell, Peter Bentley and Rob Kent.
Julie Calnan was the only unsuccessful sitting councillor seeking re-election (former councillor Maggie Bentley did not stand in for re-election and former councillor Maureen Waaka passed away earlier in the year.)
The four elected members on the Rotorua Lakes Community Board are:
