Ukele virtuoso at Rotorua Museum for workshop and concert

Leading Australian ukulele virtuoso, AJ Leonard, will be at Rotorua Museum on Saturday (5 October), hosting a ukele workshop and performing a concert.
AJ Leonard will host a fun ukulele workshop at the museum is at 3.30pm.
Open to all levels of ukulele player, he will enhance participants' strumming potential and introduce techniques that lift the arrangement of music for group performance. Have fun learning the tricks of the trade with Australia's number one authority on the ukulele.
Tickets are $20 per person, or $10 for 16 years and under. Purchase tickets in advance from Rotorua Museum reception.
Meanwhile, Rotorua Museum is hosting AJ Leonard in concert at 7pm on Saturday (5 October). He will be accompanied by Jenny Rowland on cello, and perform a fun and entertaining concert on the museum's mezzanine level.
Local band, The Thermaleles, will open with a quirky and humorous look at life with their original music and a twist on Kiwiana classics.
AJ Leonard will follow with a range of performances highlighting his interest in Hawaiian music, Tin Pan Alley, film scores and more serious classics.
Since 2009 he has been busy touring and recording. With eight albums already produced and another four albums in the planning stages, AJ Leonard is showing no no sign of any let-up.
Tickets for the concert are $25 per person (includes 1 drink - house wine, beer or orange juice) or 16 years and under are $20 (includes one orange juice).
