Museum to host Hottest Home Baker competition
It's time to dust off the baking tins, unfold your apron, and whip up your most delicious and gorgeous treats to impress the judges!
Rotorua Museum is on the hunt for Rotorua's hottest home baker, so find your favourite cake or cupcake recipes and enter this fun baking competition.
You can only enter once with either a cake or a trio of cupcakes, so make sure you pick the best.
Register by completing the entry form on the museum website rotoruamuseum.co.nz, and then email it to naiomi.murgatroyd@rdc.govt.nz or drop it in to Rotorua Museum reception before Friday 11 October, 5pm.
Competition day is Sunday 13 October. The talented Mistress of Cakes, Siobhan Higgins, will judge the baking based on taste and texture, appearance, techniques and execution, and level of difficulty.
Judging will take place between 12noon and 3pm, with the awards presentation beginning at 3pm.
Winners from the two age categories (Youth: 5-16 years or Adult: 17 years+) will receive a personal baking lesson from the Mistress of Cakes, with runners-up getting a pack of baking goodies.
