Museum offering 'Buy 2 get 1 free' school holiday workshops

Inspired by its 'Off the Wall: World of WearableArt Up Close' exhibition, Rotorua Museum is running creative workshops until 19 January, and offering a 'Buy 2 get 1 free' special.
The workshops are fun and entertaining, offering kids the chance to try new skills and activities. From decorating masks to transforming t-shirts, these programmes are sure to get the creative juices flowing.
Thursday 10 January (9-11am): Magical Masquerade
Explore the Off the Wall exhibition then create your own wearable art mask. Suitable for ages 6 to 12 years. Cost $15 per person.
Sunday 13 January (1-3pm): The Amazing Wearable Challenge with Val Dyson
Put your design skills to the test in this fun and challenging event. Work with a mystery bag of materials to fashion a wearable costume. Suitable for ages 5 to 12 years. Cost $8 per person.
Tuesday 15 January (9-11am): Customise My Kicks
Turn your boring, old canvas shoes into funky works of art. BYO light-coloured canvas shoes. Suitable for ages 6 to 14 years. Cost $15 per person.
Wednesday 16 January (9-11am): Transform My Tee
Stencilling is a great way to transform a plain t-shirt. Come and create something unique to wear. BYO light-coloured tshirt. Suitable for ages 8 to 14 years. Cost $15 per person.

Saturday 19 January (1-5pm): Puppet Making
Make your own puppet, design a cool costume and learn the art of puppetry. Suitable for ages 8 to 14 years. Cost $20 per person.
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential. Bookings will only be confirmed with payment, so either come in to Rotorua Museum reception to book, or call William Yip on 07 351 7829 to book and pay by Visa or MasterCard. Workshop prices include entry to Rotorua Museum.
