'Free Fiction' at Rotorua library
4 January 2013
Rotorua District Library is offering free rentals on popular fiction titles for the month of January.
Library members normally pay $1 for three weeks rental but as a bonus for holiday reading the library has decided to waive the charge.
The 'Free Fiction' promotion applies to all adult popular fiction and paperback collections until Thursday 31 January and includes any renewals made during that period.
Library marketing & promotions officer Sue Heke said she hopes the 'Free Fiction' promotion will encourage more people to take out any of the thousands of fiction titles currently in stock.
It's a great opportunity to take out more books or to try different authors. Book lovers may also try out our new 'Who Else Writes Like?' page on our website which links authors of similar styles. Clicking on any suggested fiction author takes you directly to the library catalogue to see all the current titles and whether it is available."
Mrs Heke sasid the 'Free Fiction' promotion does not apply to special collections such as 'Hot Picks' and 'Latest Releases', however the library often holds multiple copies of popular titles, some of which will be available during the promotion.
