Rural transfer stations
What can you drop off at the transfer stations?
The following can be disposed of at these facilities:
- Household recycling
- Household rubbish
- Small scale commercial rubbish (during manned hours only)
- Larger quantities of household rubbish (during manned hours only)
- Clean scrap metal (during manned hours only)
- Green waste (during manned hours only)
These items cannot be disposed of at the rural transfer stations:
- Large scale commercial waste
- Building materials
- Hazardous waste
- Liquids
- Whiteware
Please take these items directly to the Rotorua Landfill Refuse Transfer Station instead.
