​Tarawera Road​

Work at the Forest Hub will result in some Traffic control ​on Tarawera Road by the Black House.
Travellers may experience slight delays. ​We apologise for any inconvenience​ caused.​​

Pukaki Street - Road works

Lane Closure (Lakeside only) between Hinemaru and Fenton Streets.

For periods of time – as required until February 2020.

​Oruawhata Drive - Lakefront Development

Oruawhata Drive is now closed at Memorial Drive.

And no exit is available for vehicles entering from Government Gardens

There are limited turning areas available and NO large vehicles should enter.​​

No access onto Broadlands Road – from side roads within the closure. (Ohaaki, Allen, Earle, East, Anzio and Strathmore Roads)

Detour will be in place – via Plateau, Rakau and Rawhiti Roads 

Any person objecting to a proposed closure should notify their objection and reasons in writing to be received by 4pm Wednesday 4 March 2020 at the office of the Rotorua Lakes Council, 1061 Haupapa Street, Rotorua – or via post Rotorua Lakes Council, Private Bag 3029, Rotorua Mail Centre, ROTORUA 3046. Please mark for the  Attention of: The Road Corridor Coordinator​

Under the Local Government Act 1974 schedule 10 Council is required to give notice of proposed road closure at least 42 days prior to the proposed closure.

Any person objecting to a proposed closure is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof. Any objection shall be in writing and shall be received by 4 pm on the specified date of closure.

Should a decision to close the road(s) named above be confirmed a Public Notice shall be given.
