​​Dalbeth Road - culvert replacement


Date: Tuesday 27 October to 8 December 2020 
Time: all day 

Road: Dalbeth Road (0.5km from State Highway 5 end) full closure in place while work is carried out to replace a culvert. Motorists will need ​to access Dalbeth Road from either end (State Highway 5 or State Highway 36).

​Tarawera Road​ - Forest Hub

Work at the Forest Hub will result in some Traffic control ​on Tarawera Road by the Black House.
Travellers may experience slight delays. ​We apologise for any inconvenience​ caused.

​​Oruawhata Drive - Lakefront Development

Oruawhata Drive is now closed at Memorial Drive.

And no exit is available for vehicles entering from Government Gardens

There are limited turning areas available and NO large vehicles should enter.​​​​​​​

Proposed road closure​​​

Under the Local Government Act 1974 schedule 10 Council is required to give notice of proposed road closure at least 42 days prior to the proposed closure.

Any person objecting to a proposed closure is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof. Any objection shall be in writing and be received no later than 4 pm, at least 29 days before the road closure.​

Should a decision to close the road(s) named above be confirmed a Public Notice shall be given.
