Subject: LGOIMA request – licensed cannabis consumption premises policy work

I refer to your email of 27 April 2020 where you enquire as to whether Rotorua Lakes Council has done any preliminary work around how Council would implement elements of the proposed Cannabis Legalisation and Control Bill, or if Council has done any work on deciding maximum/minimum trading hours or what interests Council would consider when applications are submitted.

At this point in time Rotorua Lakes Council has not undertaken any preliminary work on this matter. We will continue to monitor any further developments to ensure an informed decision can be made about what is appropriate going forward for Rotorua.
