Local Water Done Well workshop - part 2
An elected members’ workshop that started yesterday (Tuesday 4 March 2025) to provide direction on a preferred option for future delivery of three waters services in Rotorua continued today.
Rotorua Lakes Council needs to decide how it will deliver water, wastewater and stormwater services in future under Local Water Done Well, the Government’s plan for managing water services delivery and infrastructure.
Councils must determine a preferred delivery model and consult on this with their communities.
Consultation on Local Water Done Well will be separate from, but at the same time as, consultation on Rotorua Lakes Council’s proposed 2025/26 Annual Plan.
