Te Kimihanga Survey results published

RLC launched Te Kimihanga | The Search in October 2023. This survey of Rotorua locals was designed to better understand the different groups of people who live in Rotorua; enabling Council to become more accessible and relevant to more of our community. More than 1240 residents completed the survey over a four week period. Council communications staff have now completed the analysis of the responses and will use this to tailor messages and information towards specific community groups. The data will also assist in targeting different media and channels to increase awareness and understanding of Council’s services and projects.

The survey asked residents a range of questions including:

• Where they get their council information from
• Attitudes towards Council
• Feelings about living in Rotorua and
• Attitudes towards the environment
