The new and improved Ngongotahā Domain playground down Beaumont Road is now open and ready for tamariki to use ahead of the long weekend.
The new layout includes a range of contemporary playground equipment, and accessible safe play areas. The project was completed over six weeks.
As part of the upgrade, eighteen trees have been planted which will provide additional shade to areas of the playground, alongside the well-established trees that already provide good shade for whānau while they enjoy the space.
Ngongotahā Domain playground was due for renewal as part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improve community play spaces across the region.
