Rotorua moves to Orange traffic light setting at 11.59pm Thurs 30 Dec
30 December 2021
On Tuesday 14 December, the Prime Minister announced that Rotorua, together with all other areas in the Red traffic light setting (Auckland, Taupō, Rotorua Lakes district, Kawerau, Whakatāne, Ōpōtiki district, Gisborne district, Wairoa district, Rangitīkei, Whanganui, and Ruapehu districts), will move to Orange at 11.59pm on Thursday 30 December. Northland will remain in Red. The South Island remains in Orange.
This will be reviewed by Cabinet in the week of 17 January.
There are three key things to remember at every colour setting - Mask, Scan, Pass:
• Take your face covering when you leave the house and be ready to wear it
• Scan in wherever you go
• Download your Vaccine Pass and have it ready, so you can go to all your favourite places.
