Enquiry
I've attached information about the markets and was wondering if perhaps the Mayor could make a general comment about what she thinks of this idea?
At this stage, I understand she can't answer all the questions I sent before specifically but perhaps she would have something to say about how these indoor markets, and other initiatives like them could contribute towards CBD revitalisation?
Response
From Mayor Steve Chadwick:
The ongoing development and revitalisation of our inner city is a key component of economic recovery initiatives council is working on with stakeholders and we welcome new thinking and ventures that will contribute to that and to our local economy in general.
This sounds like a great innovation that may provide a good opportunity for some of our local business entrepreneurs and start-ups.
I look forward to seeing how this progresses and wish them every success.

Enquiry
Could you please clarify what the (specific) statutory reason was for the council to go into public-excluded to discuss Steve's urgent item re emergency housing today?
Could you please also clarify which minister the mayor was referring to when she said it was to discuss the council's political view before the chief executive got into a discussion with "the minister"?
I understand this might be the Housing Minister Megan Woods but of course won't assume.
Response
Reason for resolution to exclude the public: To protect information where making available would be likely otherwise to damage the public interest
Ground(s) under section 48(1) for passing of resolution: Section 48(1)(a) and Section 7(2)(c)(ii)
