Post-flood roading repairs

Latest roading update after the severe weather event on April 29.

Roads Closed:

• Rerewhakaaitu Rd: Remains closed between SH38 & Brett Rd due to culvert/road damage and also Brett Rd & Ashpit/Yankee Rd due to bridge undermining. Access for residents has been arranged.
• Longview Rd, Reporoa: Remains closed as bridge repair work is continuing. A detour is in place.

Single Lane Sites:

• Tarawera Rd: Crews are still working to fix the large underslip near the Buried Village.
• Mountain Rd: Small underslip near the top of the road.
