Rotorua Lakes Council holiday hours 2020/21
- Rotorua Lakes Council Civic Centre is closed midday Tuesday 22 December to 8am Tuesday 5 January 2021.
- Services such as water, rubbish and recycling, noise and animal control will continue during the holiday period.
- Rotorua Library will be open except on public holidays.
- No rubbish/recycling collection on Christmas Day. This year Christmas Day falls on a Friday. If that is your usual collection day, put your bins out on Boxing Day (Saturday 26 December) instead. Collections will return to normal the following week (28 December – 1 January 2021). Check your collection day at

Call Rotorua Lakes Council on 07 348 4199 any time, if you:
- have questions or concerns about rubbish or recycling collections
- see illegal dumping
- see an overflowing bin or litter
