Visiting arborist inspects Rotorua trees

09 March 2018 - An expert arborist has been in Rotorua this week to inspect the city’s trees which will help to enhance the Rotorua Lakes Council’s tree maintenance programme.

Council’s maintenance programme includes monitoring trees as well as clearing branches from power lines, removing dead limbs from trees and height reduction maintenance.

The arborist’s week-long visit has been to inspect the status of trees in the city, which included trees in Wylie Street where a branch from a Liquidambar tree come down causing some damage to a parked vehicle today.

The tree expert will provide an inspection report and recommendations in due course.

Residents are encouraged to report any concerns to Council’s customer service team on 348 4199 to  enable staff to identify possible issues that need checking.
