Rotorua Lakes Council aspires to be the very best local authority in New Zealand.  Every aspect of the council’s work is carried out with the overarching aim of achieving excellence for our customers – the residents and businesses of Rotorua district.

One way of assessing how well we are doing with this objective is through independently conducted surveys of residents’ perceptions about the council carried out annually by National Research Bureau.

Another indicator that Rotorua Lakes Council is performing up amongst the best councils in the country is that of independent national awards presented to the council or to staff members – often from organisations made up of peers in various disciplines and specialist sectors.
