Uriel Ventures Limited - Application for a New Remote Sale Off-licence

Tuesday 18 December 2018: The following application has been received for an alcohol licence. Objections may be made within 15 working days of the publication of this notice.

Objection period closes Friday 1 February 2019.

Section 101 Pursuant to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012
Uriel Ventures Limited, 7 Capricorn Place, Rotorua, has made application to the Rotorua District Licencing Committee for the grant of an off-licence in respect of the premises situated at 7 Capricorn Place, Rotorua and known as Uriel Ventures Limited.

The general nature of the business to be conducted under the licence is Remote Sales via the Internet to the General Public.

The days on which and the hours during which liquor is (or is intended to be) sold under the licence is at any time on any day.

The holder of the proposed off-licence must take reasonable steps as set out in the licence conditions, to ensure that any alcohol sold by remote sale is not purchased by any persons under the purchase age of 18 years, and not delivered to the buyer (or to any other person on the buyer's behalf) at any time after 11 pm on any day and before 6 am on the next day.

The application may be inspected during ordinary office hours at the office of the Rotorua District Licensing Committee at the Civic Centre, 1061 Haupapa Street, Rotorua.

Any person who is entitled to object to the grant of the application may, not later than 15 working days after the date of the first publication of this notice, file a notice in writing of the objection with the Secretary of the Rotorua District Licensing Committee, c/- Rotorua Lakes Council, Private Bag RO 3029, Rotorua 3040.

No objection to the issue of a licence may be made in relation to a matter other than a matter specified in section 105(1) of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
