CCTV in Rotorua
Council's community safety team plays an important role in safety, deterrence and crime prevention, in part through the use of CCTV cameras located at strategic locations around the city in conjunction with our partner agencies such as the Police.
Continuous monitoring of live CCTV footage allows the team to respond to incidents as they are happening, making for a safer CBD for our community and visitors.
CCTV footage is released under certain conditions directly to Police, to support an active investigation.
