District revitalisation

About this portfolio

Part of the Rotorua 2030 journey is the need to reach some milestones, starting with what we want to achieve together by 2016 when the current three-year council term ends. A vibrant city heart attracting people and activity is a top priority of Rotorua 2030. The Inner city revitalisation portfolio aims to unlock the city centre’s potential so it becomes a place people will want to go – a place that welcomes everybody.

To make these achievements real, we need real change. Real change means all of us coming together, and working collectively for change.

District Revitalisation Strategy

The strategy brings together a range of work undertaken to date, along with plans currently underway and action signalled for the future.
Inner City Revitalisation Strategy, In revitalising our inner city we're being as inclusive as possible as our decisions will impact on everyone who lives and works in this community - now and in the future. Tātou Tātou - We Together

  • Night Market extended to meet demand.
