Rotorua District Library has one central city Library and one Mobile Library providing library services to the Rotorua District.

We maintain an excellent library service to enhance the lives of the community we serve.

It is free for Rotorua residents and ratepayers as well as those who live within the InfoShare boundaries (Whakatane, Western Bay of Plenty).

Providing information and entertainment from a variety of media, the library is constantly evolving to meet the diverse needs of our changing times.

Rotorua District Library is your place to relax, enjoy, think, and send your mind somewhere. There is something for everyone including a great range of books, DVDs, CDs, archives, magazines, newspapers and databases.
As well as enjoying our collections, you can join in one of our holiday programmes, bring the young ones to a playgroup session, listen to guest authors or use our internet/Wi-Fi service.
