What's On

Parks Week 2017 (4 - 12 March)

Parks play a vital role in creating liveable cities and thriving communities. They are our most frequented spaces for recreational activities and provide opportunities for conservation and the social interaction that is vital for a connected and resilient community.

Created by New Zealand Recreation Association, the purpose of Parks Week is to promote the benefits of our parks and open spaces. Councils together with community organisations run events to raise awareness of the value of open spaces in providing opportunities for people to use an enjoy the outdoors.
